We
aim to refurbish and redevelop the Town Hall
for
the benefit of the Community of Moffat and District
Moffat Town Hall is a Grade 2
listed, building built in 1827 as the Baths Hall for Moffat Spa
There have been some changes to the building, but little in the
way of major refurbishment
The Hall was sold to Moffat Burgh Council under the estate of the
Hope-Johnstone family [local landowners] in 1966
The Hall is now owned and managed by Dumfries and Galloway Council
It is in a prominent position in the centre of the High Street,
and is a natural ‘centre point ‘ for the Town
