Events and Membership

A key aim during the year has been to raise and maintain the profile of the Trust, and to help fund-raising to support the Project as a whole. We have seen a steady rise in numbers of Members of the Trust, to a present total in excess of 160 (we have 500 as a target).

The Trust has been delighted with the support and encouragement provided by the Community, and has been particularly pleased that the initial view of some “that it will never happen, and should be a Council responsibility” has all but disappeared. We have been fortunate in having a very keen and supportive representative from Moffat Academy, Murray Towers, involved with the Trust. We have been able to work with and present to the Academy at various times, and our Logo was developed following a competition with Senior pupils within the Academy.

The Trust Subscription is £5 per year or £15 life membership and corporate membership is £25 per year and Junior membership free. We can't stress enough the need for more members of the community to sign up for membership. It will demonstrate to our funders that the community are fully behind the project.

Also as we are a registered Charity is is also possible to 'Gift Aid' to the Trust - thus emabling us to claim back some of your Income Tax for the benefit of the development of this historic building

We need as much support from the Community in terms of Members and volunteers, so I hope that we can achieve our aim of 500 Members within the coming year. Please come and support us!
